Whirligig Hexagon Template Set
Description
- The third set in the "Playing With Hexagons" collection.
- This block is easily pieced.
Cutting
- Cut 8 small triangles (A) and 6 parallelograms (B).
- Piece each triangle to each parallelogram.
- Stitch 3 of these units together to form one half of the block.
- Repeat and sew the two halves together to complete.
- Join the finished blocks together with the C triangle and also use this triangle for squaring up.
- The dashed centre line of the D triangle becomes the seam line and the solid line becomes the cutting line.
- Alternatively use in conjunction with the other Playing with Hexagon blocks to make a sampler style quilt.
