Beautiful Backing by Maywood is a quilt backing fabric, extra wide at 274.32cm. This fabric has a classic, refined look with a rich forest green background with a slightly tonal, mottled texture that gives depth rather than a flat solid color. Flowing dark olive to black scrolling vine motifs spread across the surface in an allover pattern containing decorative curls, spirals, and botanical flourishes resembling wrought iron scrollwork, vintage wallpaper, or engraved vines. Small leaf and floral accents tucked into the swirls, adding softness and a subtle organic touch. Overall the style feels traditional and elegant, slightly Victorian/classic European, sophisticated but understated since the scrolls are tone-on-tone rather than high contrast.
